Youth Chess Format
All tournament play requires a valid US Chess Federation (USCF) membership.
Players are divided into sections based off grades: K-2, K-4, K-6, K-8, K-12
Top five players from each section are awarded trophies
Teams are organized by the top 2-4 players per school. One team per section is awarded a trophy
In the event that there is a tie among the top five places, ties will be broken according to section 34E of the USCF Rules of Chess
The tiebreak systems used will be, in order, Modified Median, Solkoff, Cumulative, and Cumulative of Opposition
Four round, swiss-system, USCF-rated, G/25;d5
Teams are comprised of the top four players per school per grade section. Minimum two players to qualify as a team. Team totals are calculated using cumulative score of each player.
